We’re thrilled to welcome Nicholas Wood as the newest member of our Lantern Light Camps management team!
Nicholas is a lifelong camper and educator who has spent 18 summers immersed in the rhythms of camp life—as a camper, counselor, and leader. He spent nearly a decade at the Hulbert Outdoor Center, growing from seasonal staff to Program Director, where he helped young people build confidence, resilience, and a deep connection to the outdoors. His time in the woods, on trails, and around campfires instilled in him a lasting belief in the power of nature to transform lives.
Nicholas earned his MBA from Babson College with a focus on mission-driven leadership and nonprofit strategy. His approach to camp is grounded in community, reflection, and the belief that meaningful growth happens when people feel seen, supported, and connected.
He lives in Vermont with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. When not at camp, you can find him hiking, reading, playing golf, or making maple syrup during sugaring season. Nicholas is honored to lead Lantern Light into its next chapter, guided by the values that first drew him to camp all those years ago.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Nicholas—he’s a fantastic addition to the Lantern Light family, and we’re excited for what lies ahead!
